New Podcast Series ‘(A Conversation With) Inspiring Women’ Launches Wednesday to Amplify Stories of immense Resilience
Premiere episode spotlights Ms St Eustatius Rosie Patrick, who shares her transition from scoliosis and childhood bullying to law enforcement leadership
Rather than focusing on conventional celebrity, the series—hosted by communications consultant Johnson JohnRose—shines a light on women who navigate significant personal trials and transform their hardships into purposeful advocacy and leadership. The in-depth, 45-to-60-minute conversations will explore each guest's background, the setbacks they have encountered and overcome, their defining accomplishments, and how they drive meaningful change in their communities and industries.
"This series gives voice to everyday women whose extraordinary resilience serves as an example to others," says JohnRose, founder of Mazterpiece Communication. "Our guests share profoundly moving stories of overcoming sexual assault, racism, physical illness, and mental health struggles. By bringing these authentic journeys to light, we hope to inspire listeners to confront their own challenges with renewed strength and purpose."
The premiere episode features Rosie Patrick, who holds the distinction of being the last crowned Miss St Eustatius. Behind her public victory lies a deeply personal story of overcoming physical and emotional adversity. Diagnosed at age 11 with scoliosis—a spinal condition that affected her posture, caused chronic back pain, and restricted her breathing—Rosie endured years of childhood bullying that severely impacted her mental health.
She shares how the 2023 pageant helped her embrace her scars and face adversity head-on. Shortly after her pageant success, she joined the Caribbean Netherlands border police, serving the islands of Bonaire, St Eustatius, and Saba.
"For a long time, I tried to fit a perfect image to be accepted, but now I choose myself first," says Rosie. "Never let cruel words get you down or let anyone tell you that you can't achieve your goals. You have to march to the beat of your own drum, push forward through the hard days, and trust the light at the end of the tunnel."
Series host Johnson JohnRose adds: "Rosie’s journey from a shy, insecure youth to a confident law enforcement officer and community role model is deeply inspiring. Her story is a powerful reminder to young people everywhere that your past does not determine your future."
New episodes of (A Conversation with) Inspiring Women will be released every Wednesday on YouTube and Facebook.
